CONCLUSION We stated that one of the most inevitable sources of loss in translating is due to some collocations in both source and target language. The translator should not ignore the varieties of collocations and the relationships between words. He/she must use his/her language competence while deciding which noun goes with which adjective and what its correct corresponding meaning is in the target language. If there is no corresponding meaning for a collocation of source language in the target language, the best thing a translator should do is that he/she should not translate it and use its original in his translation.
